E-Newsletters Subscriptions
Meetings Focus, West, South, East, MidAmerica and AsiaPacific regional editions are available to all users. Meetings Focus
distribution includes the email addresses of users who voluntarily
subscribe to Meetings Media's print publications or e-newsletters. Users may remove themselves from
this distribution list by following the link provided in every newsletter.
Users can also subscribe to the newsletters at the time of registration. Subscriptions are completely
voluntary. Users may unsubscribe or change their preferences at any time
by sending an e-mail to subscriptions@meetingsmedia.com.
Meetings Media may include transparent GIFs in e-mail messages in order to track how many e-mail
messages
recipients have opened. Meetings Media will not release any e-newsletter recipient's e-mail address
or newsletter-viewing behavior to any third party.
Affiliates
Meetings Media may make content and/or services from other websites available via hyperlinks. These
websites may not comply with Meetings Media's Privacy Policy. Meetings Media urges those who visit
affiliate websites to review these sites' privacy policies.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed by web page servers on users' hard drives. Cookies
cannot read data off users' hard disks or read other cookie files that may rest on users' hard drives.
Meetings Media uses cookies to facilitate users' navigation throughout www.meetingsfocus.com. Users who
have set their browsers to warn themselves before accepting cookies will receive warning messages with each cookie. Users can refuse cookies by turning them off in their browser. Users do not need to have cookies turned on to use www.meetingsfocus.com.
Online Advertisers/Statistical Analysis
Similar to the practice of most websites, www.meetingsfocus.com generates log files that record user
behavior while on www.meetingsfocus.com. In an attempt to measure interest in various sections of
www.meetingsfocus.com, Meetings Media may perform statistical analysis of user behavior on the site.
Meetings Media uses this analysis solely to develop new products and services and to notify advertisers
how many users have clicked on their advertising banner. Should analysis occur, it will be performed
solely on an aggregate level: Meetings Media does not track individual behavior, but rather total
visitor behavior. Because Meetings Media does not track usage patterns of individual users,
advertisers do not know which specific users clicked on their advertisement. Meetings Media will
never disclose any individual statistical information to third parties as part of any analysis.
Use of the Information
Subscribers to any Meetings Media print publications can elect to not receive business-related,
third-party offers. To protect subscribers from excessive spam, Meetings Media limits third party
use of subscribers' e-mail and/or postal addresses. Personal identifiable information will never be
released directly to a third-party. Subscribers may change their preferences at any time by contacting
subscriptions@meetingsmedia.com.
Meetings Media pre-approves all content contained in mailings to subscribers. Mailings are only
conducted in-house or through an approved broker.
